Limited Free Consultancy for Small Businesses

At GEN, we're committed to supporting small businesses in their IT and cybersecurity needs. Our First Hour Free Policy is designed to provide valuable consultancy services to eligible businesses at no cost. Smaller businesses are typically less likely to request consultancy even when it would be of significant advantage, and this policy attempts to rectify that. This will be the second year of operating this policy, and during its first year of operation we've provided over 200 hours of free consultancy.

Here are the terms of the Policy

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the First Hour Free offer, businesses must meet the following criteria:

Annual turnover of less than £1 million
Fewer than 50 employees

Consultancy Services Offered

Eligible businesses can choose one hour of free telephone consultancy in any of the following areas:

IT Consultancy
Cybersecurity Consultancy
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning Consultancy

No other GEN Services are included.

Frequency and Limitations

This offer is limited to one hour of free consultancy per customer per year.
The year is defined as a rolling 12-month period from the date of the last free consultation.
The free hour cannot be divided into smaller time increments or carried over to the next year.

GEN reserves the right to refuse service to any business at our sole discretion. We don't want to, but we need to ensure that free consultancy is provided to genuine small businesses and not competitors.

Additional Services

Should you require services beyond the free hour, our regular consultation rates will apply, and we will advise you before this happens. In most cases, you can spread the cost of any further consultancy over 12 months.

Availability

Businesses will be serviced under this policy in the order we receive the requests. There may be a delay, as we plan for all consultants to provide at least 4 free hours per week. If your need is urgent, then please make that clear when contacting us and we will endeavour to assist you as soon as possible.

Policy Changes

GEN reserves the right to modify or terminate this policy at any time.
