Global Enterprise Networks, trading as GEN, operates as The GEN Partnership, a general partnership established under the laws of England and Wales. The business was originally founded in 1989 and formally constituted as The GEN Partnership in 1992.
A partnership is not a separate legal entity from its partners; rather, the partners share joint and several liability for the partnership's obligations. This structure has served us well for over three decades, providing flexibility, direct accountability, and a personal commitment to client relationships that corporate structures often cannot match.
Whilst we maintain limited companies for specific operational purposes (such as interfacing with payment processors whose systems cannot accommodate partnerships), these entities serve functional requirements rather than defining our business structure. The partnership remains the primary trading entity and the party with whom clients contract.
The GEN Partnership is headquartered in the United Kingdom and serves business clients across multiple territories. Whilst our contracts are governed by English law, we operate in compliance with applicable local regulations in each jurisdiction where we provide services:

GEN operates exclusively as a business-to-business (B2B) service provider. All contracts are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. However, we ensure compliance with applicable local commercial regulations, data protection laws, and industry-specific requirements in each territory where we deliver services.
The GEN Partnership maintains comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance to protect our clients against claims arising from professional negligence, errors, or omissions in the provision of our services.

We maintain robust internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with these regulations. Our Framework Agreement provides for compliance with applicable local laws whilst maintaining English law as the governing law of our contracts.
In the event of any dispute arising from our services or agreements, we follow a structured resolution process:
1. Negotiation
Good faith discussions between parties to resolve the matter directly within 30 days.
2. Mediation
Submission to CEDR mediation if negotiation fails, with resolution within 60 days.
3. Legal Proceedings
If mediation fails, proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
All contracts with GEN are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any disputes.
