SPAM

IF you are receiving spam from a GEN IP Block, or via a GEN Managed server, then you need to report it via ^postmaster^, and you must include the full email headers. Here's how to obtain those for popular email clients. We cannot process a spam report without the headers.

GEN Email

1. Open the email
2. On the right hand side click "View raw message"

Thunderbird

1. Open the email
2. Go to View > Headers > All

Outlook Desktop

1. Open the email
2. Go to File > Properties
3. Look for the "Internet Headers" section

Outlook Web

1. Open the email
2. Click on the three dots (...) at the top of the message
3. Select "View message source"

Gmail

1. Open the email
2. Click on the three dots (More options) in the top right corner
3. Select "Show original"
4. The full headers will be displayed in a new tab

Yahoo Mail

1. Open the email
2. Click on "More" (three dots) above the email
3. Select "View raw message"

Apple Mail

1. Open the email
2. Go to View > Message > All Headers

Network

If you are experiencing abuse from an IP within GEN's Netblocks, then you should report it to ^hostmaster^

You MUST include the following information:

• The IP Address or addresses
• The domain name(s)
• The type of abuse (e.g., DoS, DDoS, Port Scan, etc)
• The ports and protocol used
• The duration of abuse, clearly stating the start and end times in UTC
• If available, a pcap file of the abuse traffic

All Network abuse reports are handled manually by the GEN NOC and we do investigate every single one, so please be patient whilst we work through your report.

If abuse continues during this period, please continue to track it and report it, the more information you can provide the easier it will be for us to track it down to a specific customer.

Illegal Content

If you are aware of any illgeal content or activity originating on any of our IP Blocks, our Websites, or our Services, then please report it to ^hostmaster^

Provide the full path to the file(s) and a reason for the illegality. We take any such content very seriously, and will investigate this as a priority.
