GEN's market is organisations that want a green, premium service, built on solid architecture and backed by relentless support. We also recognise the vital work done by schools, colleges and universities, by charities, NGOs and not-for-profit organisations, and by the public sector, and we make that same service more affordable for them.
It is not a gesture. Charities, NGOs, educational establishments and not-for-profit organisations, in the UK and abroad, make up a real part of our client base, and they receive exactly the same service as everyone else, at a better price.
Schools, colleges and universities receive a blanket 10% discount on all fixed price services, and further discounts on our other services. Hardware is excluded.
Organisations doing genuinely charitable work, in the UK or anywhere else, receive a generous discount on all services across the board, and hardware is supplied at cost. Registration alone is not the test, and neither is the country: the work is.
Public sector and government organisations receive a discount on our services. Your account manager will confirm what applies to you.
We run on 100% green power and cool our data centres with outside air wherever we can, and we actively support businesses working on the environment and climate change. Discounts for them are discretionary, and depend on just how green the work is. Tell us about yours.
Volume discounts are available on all services, and many are applied automatically. For a formal quotation on any service, talk to an account manager.
Tell your account manager which of these applies to you, or mention it when you first get in touch. We check eligibility ourselves, because once a discount is set it applies across our systems, to every service on your account, automatically. There are no codes to remember and nothing to claim invoice by invoice.
Discounts do not stack: your account carries one discount rather than several added together. And a discount never means a lesser service. You use the same data centres, the same HelpDesk and the same engineers as every other client, and for a charity, a school or a public body, that is often the point.
Tell your account manager, or mention it when you first contact us. We check eligibility ourselves, and once confirmed, the discount is set on your account and applies automatically to everything you buy from then on. There is nothing to claim invoice by invoice.
Not automatically. Registration alone is not the test, and neither is the country: we look at whether an organisation is doing genuinely charitable work. A UK charity and an NGO abroad are treated the same way, and those doing real good receive the discount.
No. Discounts do not stack, so an account carries one discount rather than several added together. Your account manager will make sure it is the right one for you.
No. You use the same data centres, the same HelpDesk and the same engineers as every other client. A discount changes the price, not the service.
Hardware is excluded from the education discount. Not-for-profit organisations are supplied hardware at cost.
If you work in education, run a charity, an NGO or a not-for-profit organisation, work in the public sector, or are building something genuinely green, tell us about it. We will confirm what applies, set it on your account, and you will see it on every invoice from then on.
